The Dorothea Schlegel Artist in Residence programme offers artists from different fields time and space to develop new projects in dialogue with the Cluster’s research agenda. Residencies are offered to writers and artists. The fellowship allows them to work on their individual projects for a period of up to six months.
The residencies are meant to facilitate the dialogue between academic research and artistic practice, to encourage the exploration of innovative formats of knowledge transfer, artistic research, artistic knowledge production as well as reflections on the mechanisms and dynamics of critique. By providing artists with the opportunity to become part of the Cluster for a longer period, the format encourages long-term collaborative relations between Cluster members and artists.
