EXC 2020 "Temporal Communities: Doing Literature in a Global Perspective"
A new understanding of literature across media, periods and cultures
deutsch | english
The Cluster of Excellence "Temporal Communities: Doing Literature in a Global Perspective" commenced its work on 1 January, 2019. The project aims to re-conceptualise literature in a global perspective, positing that temporal entanglements crucially contribute to how literature becomes global. The Cluster builds its dynamic and flexible platform for collaborative research through an extensive fellowship programme, a global network of academic institutions and cooperations with partners in Berlin's vibrant literary and artistic scene.
From 24 to 26 October, 2019, the Cluster's Grand Opening explores how literature manifests itself as a multi-faceted practice at the nexus of academia, art and culture.
