Berliner Künstler* Programm (DAAD)

The Berliner Künstler* Programm of the DAAD is a residency initiative for international cultural practitioners, designed to foster creative processes, meaningful exchanges, and collaborations. Fellows are supported both during and after their residency in Berlin, enabling them to develop and present exhibitions, concerts, performances, film projects, readings, and publications.Through partnerships with guests and collaborators, the program generates new creative projects that are showcased at the daad galerie, at cultural institutions across Berlin and Germany, and on international stages.

Workshops, Exhibition, Performances | READING READING: IL/LEGIBLE (2025)

READING READING: IL/LEGIBLE was presented in cooperation with DAAD Artists-in-Berlin Program, showcasing a transdisciplinary investigation beginning at its very limit: the illegible. Through workshops, an exhibition, performances, and artist talks, the event explored reading not only as a functional act of decoding information, but also as an aesthetic, sensual, affective, experimental, and political practice in its own right.

Reading and Talk | To Produce Understanding: A Rosmarie Waldrop Night (2024)

The event on November 29, 2024 brought together artists, poets, translators and researchers to explore the work of poet and translator Rosmarie Waldrop. The discussion focused on her poetics, translation practice, and literary networks, highlighting her role as one of the many international voices that shaped Berlin’s literary landscape in the 1990s. The event was organised in cooperation between the DAAD Artists-in-Berlin Program and the project Writing Berlin, Research Area 4: "Literary Currencies".
