Katharina Mevissen received her BA in Cultural Studies and MA in Transnational Literature from the Universität Bremen.
In October 2021 Katharina Mevissen joined the Friedrich Schlegel Graduate School of Literary Studies and the EXC "Temporal Communities," where she is working as a doctoral researcher on the project "Translation and Literary Multilingualism" with a dissertation project on Orality in Literature and Translation, Research Area 4: "Literary Currencies."

Current reserach includes an EXC 2020 project: Orality in Literature and Translation.
