This summer semester, Islam Dayeh, Junior Professor of Arabic Studies and Member in Research Area 1: "Competing Communities", will be teaching the blocked seminar "Arabic Literature in Berlin". The seminar will be taught together with Haytham El-Wardany, an Egyptian writer and translator based in Berlin. The seminar is sponsored by the Cluster of Excellence EXC 2020 Temporal Communities: Doing Literature in a Global Perspective.

The seminar consists of five days during the summer semester of 2022 (Fridays and/or Saturdays). The language of instruction will be Arabic & English.
