Peer-reviewed articles on "Temporal Communities"

Articulations is the open access digital journal of the Cluster of Excellence 2020 “Temporal Communities: Doing Literature in a Global Perspective”. The journal presents peer-reviewed contributions that outline and document the evolving ideas and case studies through which the Cluster expands and networks its discourses across disciplines, research activities and publication formats. General Editors are Prof Dr Anne Eusterschulte and Prof Dr Andrew James Johnston. Dr Rebecca Hardie serves as the Managing Editor of Articulations.

Together with the Editorial Board, Research Area 5, “Building Digital Communities“, designed and implemented the editorial and peer review processes, and coordinates its technical development with the Open Encyclopedia System (OES). Based on this open source software framework developed under the auspices of the Center for Digital Systems (CeDiS) at Freie Universität Berlin, Articulations benefits from the expertise of other OES project partners, while at the same time contributing to the technical and conceptual development of the software framework.

We warmly invite contributions to the Articulations collection from all members, associates, and collaborative partners of the Cluster. The digital journal hosts peer-reviewed Insights, Responses, and Sparks written specifically for this open access platform and as part of the Cluster’s ongoing research. It does not host secondary publications or republish work that has previously appeared in other journals, series, monographs, blogs, or magazines.

Articulations uses a single-blind peer review process in which two reviewers provide feedback on each submission. Comments are sent to the authors, and reviewers recommend immediate publication, publication with modifications, or advise against publication. The aim is to support authors in producing their best work, and authors can revise and respond to the reviewers’ comments.

For more information on the preparation and submission of your contribution, please contact the Managing Editor, Dr. Rebecca Hardie.
